Old pipes + big trees = expensive surprises. Answer 5 questions to find your risk level in under 2 minutes.
What a Sewer Scope Camera Finds
Root Intrusion: Tree roots enter through joints and cracks. They block flow and eventually break the pipe from inside.
Bellied / Sagging Pipe: A low spot in the line where waste accumulates and solids collect, causing chronic backups.
Offset Joints: Pipe sections that have shifted out of alignment. Common in clay pipe after soil movement.
Cracks and Breaks: Structural pipe failure. Allows groundwater infiltration and sewage exfiltration into surrounding soil.
Buildup and Blockage: Grease, debris, or mineral deposits that restrict flow and can cause complete backup.
Sewer scope cost: $150–$300 | Line replacement: $4,000–$25,000 | Not covered by standard homeowners insurance.
